Inspiring audiences to see AI not as something to fear, but as our greatest partnership yet.
Science fiction imagines the future; AI increasingly makes it real. Few speakers stand at that intersection like Dr. Philip Fischer, who pairs speculative fiction with a career as a fixed-income strategist and research analyst.
In this engaging keynote, author and technologist Dr. Fischer explores AI from a refreshingly human perspective. Drawing from his new book, You Are AI’s Best Friend — From Olives to Algorithms: A Human Guide, he explains complex AI concepts in plain English, replacing fear and hype with practical insight and genuine curiosity. Inspired by the timeless traditions of Sicily and the rapid evolution of modern technology, his message is simple: the future belongs to people who learn to work with AI, not against it.
Long before the AI revolution, his novels Julia and the Dream Maker and Green Eyes in the Amazon explored intelligence, identity, and technology, asking not just what advanced intelligence might become, but how it reshapes our relationships, our society, and ourselves. They anticipated questions now central to AI.
His newest book, You Are AI’s Best Friend — From Olives to Algorithms: A Human Guide (with Linda Marie Fischer), turns from imagining the future to living in it. Not threat, not miracle: the real opportunity comes when humans and AI collaborate, each bringing its own strengths.
This talk bridges both worlds. Fischer shows how science fiction serves as a laboratory for tomorrow’s ideas, and how today’s AI reveals which are becoming real. Understanding AI, he argues, takes not just technical knowledge but imagination.
True leadership unites vision with clarity. Dr. Fischer bridges macroeconomics, AI systems, and moral reasoning to help clients navigate technological and social disruption, guiding organizations to act with wisdom and care in a machine-driven age.
It is now apparent that we are in one of those ages of great human discovery and, to some degree, peril, a condition he has long spoken about in both his literature and his profession.
Dr. Fischer provides direction to organizations, refining their mission in an era shaped by data, automation, and human values. His work centers on alignment between people and algorithms, ethics and innovation, purpose and performance.

Artificial intelligence is redefining productivity, policy, and purpose. Global shifts in energy, demographics, and geopolitics demand new frameworks for value and trust.
Dr. Fischer helps leaders interpret these transformations, linking economic foresight with technological insight:
Dr. Fischer’s writing explores the evolving dialogue between intelligence and humanity. In his latest book, You Are AI’s Best Friend — From Olives to Algorithms: A Human Guide, he reveals how artificial intelligence, in all its dimensions, is transforming what it means to think, create, and be human.
His earlier science-fiction works, Julia and the Dream Maker and its sequel Green Eyes in the Amazon, anticipated many of these themes more than two decades ago. On the corporate side, Investing in Municipal Bonds reflects his systems-level approach to muni bonds.
